The plain-English bullets above describe exactly how ValueBoi treats your data. The details below expand on each one.

Who we are. ValueBoi is operated by Value Boi Enterprise, a sole proprietorship registered in Liberia. Value Boi Enterprise is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

What we store. Your WhatsApp phone number and the messages you have sent the ValueBoi business number, used to operate and improve the discovery service.

What we don’t store.The messages between you and a seller. When you tap a result in ValueBoi, WhatsApp opens a chat between you and the seller’s business number directly — ValueBoi is not in that conversation.

Service providers. We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run ValueBoi. Each one processes data only on our instructions and only to deliver their part of the service. They are: Meta Platforms Inc. (WhatsApp Business Platform — message delivery), Google LLC (Google Cloud — application hosting), Supabase Inc. (managed database), Pinecone Systems Inc. (search index), OpenAI L.L.C. (language understanding for buyer queries and seller listings), Geoapify GmbH (geocoding for location queries), and a managed Redis provider (short-lived session state). None of these providers receive your data for any purpose of their own.

Data minimization. We collect only what we need to answer your message and improve the service. We do not request or store your contact list, your friends, your photo, your browsing history, or your location outside of pins you explicitly share with us in a chat.

Cookies. The marketing site at valueboi.com sets no cookies. Analytics is provided by Plausible, which is cookieless. If we ever add a feature that requires a cookie, this policy is updated first.

Data sale. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your customer list with anyone.

Government and law-enforcement requests.Value Boi Enterprise may receive requests from public authorities — including law enforcement agencies, regulators, and courts — for personal data we hold about our users. When we receive such a request, we follow four commitments:

• We review the legality of each request.We confirm the request is authorized by applicable law, is properly issued by a competent authority, and is consistent with our users’ fundamental rights, before we respond.
• We reserve the right to challenge any request we believe to be unlawful, overbroad, or improperly issued, including through legal counsel and through the courts.
• We disclose only the minimum personal data necessary to comply with a lawful request. We do not provide bulk data and we resist requests that demand more information than the legal basis supports.
• We document every request we receive, including the requesting authority, the data sought, our legal review, our response, the legal reasoning involved, and the personnel who handled the matter. These records are retained for at least three years.

Where the law permits, we will notify the affected user of a request so they can seek their own legal protection. Where notification is legally prohibited, we will challenge any non-disclosure order we consider overbroad.

Your rights. You may ask us what personal data we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request from the WhatsApp number the data relates to, or email trust@valueboi.com and we will respond within 30 days.
